Delete your account

Account & data deletion · LalaCar

You can delete your LalaCar account and associated personal data at any time. No login is required to submit a request from this page.

In the app (fastest)

Open LalaCar → Profile → Settings → Privacy → Delete account.
Confirm. Your account is deactivated immediately and data deletion begins.

By web / email

Email dpo@lalacar.in from your registered address with the subject "Delete my account", or use our in-app "Report a problem" form. We verify your identity, then process the request.

Deletion is processed within 30 days. Any open ride, booking or pending ₹50 hold is settled first.

What is deleted

Profile — name, photo, saved places, emergency contacts, preferences.
Device tokens and marketing consent.
Chat messages (subject to the retention window below).

What is retained, and why

Some records must be kept to meet legal, tax, audit and safety obligations even after account deletion. These are anonymised or access-restricted where possible:

Data	Retention
Trip & booking history	5 years (audit / dispute / regulatory)
AutoPay hold ledger	8 years (Income Tax Act)
KYC documents (encrypted)	5 years after KYC expiry
Safety incident records	10 years (or longer if a legal matter is pending)
